Eleanor Anderson, Detroit Master Storyteller (DABS), takes you on an enlightening journey using video clips, pictures, and memorabilia highlighting the legendary Emlen "The Gremlin" Tunnell.
He was the first African American to play for the New York Giants, inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, among his other first achievements. Mr. Tunnell is also celebrated and awarded by the U.S.
Coast Guard for his outstanding achievements and heroism while enlisted. His name is enshrined in many parts of the U.S.A.
Storyteller Ms. Anderson is also a family friend who was inspire to service and recently retired from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
