About Downtown Detroit

Downtown Detroit is a mega of activity, at first glance you will notice the many high rise building that make up the city skyline. Some of the building you will see are Detroit City County building, General Motors Headquarters, Comerica, Chase and the Detroit library. At any given time you can see a baseball, football or hockey game, each arena is no more than a half a mile to a mile away from each other. The Fox Theater, The Opera House and The Music Hall all host a variety of plays and concerts for anyones liking. In the middle of downtown Detroit you will find a small little park called Campus Marquis. In the summer the park host a variety of musicial acts for lunch time enjoyment. The park also host a Saturday night movie under the stars. While in the winter the park is transformed into a family ice skating rink. Downtown Detroit also host two casinos MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and Greektown Hotel and Casino, within each of these two hotels there is also night life and restaurants for you to enjoy. If you prefer to Cruise down the Detroit River than the Detroit Princess would be nice to do some wining and dining. Downtown Detroit has a host of restaurants to choose from such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Andiamo, Seldom Blue, Fishbones and Steve Soul food just to name a few. There also a number of Churches to choose from that are all within walking distance.
